San Rafael Sanitation District

FacilitiesMap and MMS

FacilitiesMap

We deployed our FacilitiesMap software on the City’s existing MapGuide server.  The City uses this web-mapping framework as a data portal and integration point for other applications in support of their Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP).

Activity Tracking (MMS)

We developed an interface for field crew supervisors to log all daily maintenance activities and for other users to view this information within the FacilitiesMap web based interface.  The entry form has a similar interface to the “daily time sheets’ previously in use by the District.   The activities are tied to map assets based on the unique identifier of the facilities selected from the map.

Pump Station Database

As part of the integration of pump station facilities into the mapping application, we designed a database to contain pump station information.  The database, created in SQL Server, contains information about the pump stations including number of pumps, installation dates, capacities and other relevant information provided by the District.  The District has the ability to change or add pump information as well as the ability to change pump station configuration.  As in the above activity tracking task, the Pump Station Database will include an interface for field crew supervisors to log all daily activities and for other users to view this information.

Force Main Database

Similar to the Pump Station Database above, we developed a maintenance database that contains Air Release Valve and Plug Valve information on force mains for maintenance purposes.  The database, created in SQL Server, contains information about the Air Release Valves and Plug Valve including type, serial numbers, installation dates, capacities and other relevant information provided by the District.  The Force Main Database will include an interface for field crew supervisors to log all daily activities and for other users to view this information.

Document Management

We integrated the various existing document databases including the FileDex database, and other spreadsheets containing scanned documents into one central database.  The database is linked to the FacilitiesMap software so users can view scanned documents and imagery by selecting on map features.
