In this project we deployed our FacilitiesMap framework with a layer filtering system tied to map objects that allows toggling of dynamic layers by the user based on the current map selection. This allowed Daytona State to view building floor plans within the mapping framework. We provided a backend administrator to allow users to manage the dynamic filtering system based on the map and layer resources in the MapGuide repository. These floor plans and other spaces were their facilities maintenance management system developed by Teamworks. In order for these spaces to be used within their mapping framework, we first converted all of their building floor plan drawings to georeferenced files with attributed polygons that represented each space. This conversion was done using Safe Software’s Feature Manipulation Engine (FME). This allowed new and updated floor plan drawings to be automatically inserted into the FacilitiesMap framework.
